 have bad clusters, this one didn't help, on to the next
 First of all, sorry about my bad English. Few day ago, I bought second-hand Maxtor 120Gb disc, and I have a problem to install Windows Xp on it.  Disk Checker in Vista Using large fonts for the desktop, the interface is a bit scrambled, but was still usable. (buttons and dialogs in not quite the right place, or partially obscured.Despite that, it worked to reassure that a potentially defective CD from an academic text was in fact fine: problem was the laptop that couldn't read it properly.Needs some work to fix its use in other than standard font size ... I assume that's the issue, but didn't try it out as I was able to make it work ok.
 very useful tool Unexperienced laptop user. Managed to finally repair my ill-behaving WD 750 GB disk. Wasn't straightforward, probably (at least partly) due to my missing experience. Needed several attempts, program got stuck several times without clear idea where and why, i.e. without clear error/status info (even 'close window' sometimes didn't work). Finally all fine. --
 Usb drive. Usb hdd not supported so it was useless for me.

It works, and price is right I was taken by surprise when an older Sony Vaio laptop (which we still use for odds and ends) would not run Defrag because there was only 2% free on the hard drive!!! I had no idea!!! Deleted a few large PowerPoint presentations, which only made a minimal difference. Searched Google for disk free space management, and downloaded another program, which quit working after the first day. Disk Size Manager was fast to download (even on an older and too-full computer), and has been a big help in letting me see just where the disk space is being taken up.

So Far so Good I was not sure if I should download and try this out. I had recently had problems. Starting windows, it continued freezing at welcome screen, I tried as much as I could in safe mode and nothing seemed to work. I used different programs to clean my hard drive and help with this problem. After I installed Paragon Hard Disk Manager, and ran it, my computer finally booted up and has not froze since than.  NO EXTERNAL USB DISK SUPPORT ON RESTORE CD I downloaded and installed Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.0 Secial Edition.The Interface is OK and I did manage with the help file to figure out what to do to back up my Windows XP Pro system "WHILE IN THE WINDOWS INTERFACE", BUT, after creating the Necessary "Media Restore" CD and re-booting using this CD I CANNOT SEE my EXTERNAL USB Matxtor drive (that's where the Image file is stored). If you cannot locate it in the disk listing when the Restore CD is used then how do you expect to restore C: drive from the external USB drive WHERE THE ...

can`t browse ext2 partition ican see the partition and properties, but when i go to see what is on the part. i get a flashlight and then a blank screen(in browser)i'm running windows xp

Hard drive was not recognized, assumed to be dead/damaged hardware.
 If I remember correctly, your software is not compatible with Windows 7. If I am mistaken then I will try again.
Handy software, as we still use floppies for legacy equipment. The track 0 on floppies is a notorious troublemaker and prevents the disk from being formatted. Disk Repair software solves this problem quite well. Have not used if for hard drive repairs though, hence can not comment on its abilities, but I\'m sure it will do fine too.
